  • What programs does BCSBC offer?

    BCSBC offers comprehensive training programs in hairdressing (cosmetology), esthetics (skin care), nail technology (manicuring), and electrolysis. We also provide combination programs for students seeking to expand their skill set.
  • How long is the Hairdressing (Cosmetology) program?

    Our full-time hairdressing program spans 50 weeks. It consists of four courses: Hairdressing One (HR1), Hairdressing Two (HR2), Clinic One (HRC1), and Clinic Two (HRC2). Students may also opt for a non-hair elective in place of HRC2.
  • What is covered in the Esthetics (Skin Care) program?

    The esthetics program includes two main components: a Fundamentals of Non-Hair Services course and a Skin Care & Cosmetics course. These prepare students for licensure and practical clinic work. The duration varies based on full-time or evening schedules.
  • Do they offer day and evening classes?

    Yes, we provide flexible scheduling options. Both day and evening classes are available for our hairdressing, esthetics, and manicuring programs to accommodate various student needs.
  • Can I combine different programs?

    Absolutely. We encourage students to broaden their expertise by combining programs. Popular combinations include hairdressing with esthetics or nail technology, allowing for a more diverse skill set.
  • Does BCSBC assist with job placement after graduation?

    We are committed to our students' success beyond graduation. Our school offers lifelong job placement assistance to all graduates from our cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technology programs.
  • What are the admission requirements?

    To enroll, applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED. Foreign diplomas require evaluation. Additionally, all applicants must present a valid form of identification.
  • What salon services are available through student clinics?

    Our student clinics offer a wide range of services including haircuts, coloring, perms, braiding, facials, backcials, intensive wrinkle treatments, manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nail applications, and various waxing services.
  • How can I book an appointment at the student-run salon?

    To schedule a service at our student-run salon, please call (484) 200-5016. All services are by appointment only and are subject to student availability. Licensed instructors supervise all services provided.
